Today we introduce another artist, and t-shirt designer that many you will no doubt have seen his t-shirt designs from all over the web. If not on Redbubble on various sites and apart of the RBC group of users who are big across tumblr and twitter. (Well they definitely are in my stream!)

Today we introduce Dave, or The Random Factor as you maybe more likely to know him (@Random_Tees.) Here we are going to showcase a small selection of his tee designs but first he is going to explain a bit more about himself and how he is involved in the online tee world.

I’m Dave,  and I’m a 30-something doodler and tee designer from Scotland.  I’ve always enjoyed drawing, my childhood was spent meticulously copying art from comics, decorating school jotters with cyborg zombie pirates and and selling classmates caricatures of their favourite sport stars.  After school I continued to doodle, draw and paint, sometimes for fun, sometimes for much needed beer tokens!

I’ve never been very good at putting myself out there and showing any work I’ve done until very recently,  when my wife suggested that I start putting some of things I drew onto t-shirts via the Redbubble website.  This appealed to me because I could have a degree of  anonymity, and I could retreat unnoticed if no one liked my stuff!  Fortunately,  pretty much everyone I’ve come across has been really friendly, and very positive, offering help and kind advice.

From this small start I gained a bit more confidence and began to chat with some other Redbubble users, (initially Seven Hundred, Cubik, robotrobotROBOT & Bamboota) and from there Cubik started up a facebook group called The RBC where a massive amount of talented individuals have gathered to chat, share techniques, offer opinions and general be a thoroughly lovely bunch of people.  Thanks to this group I feel like I’ve gained even more confidence, and I’m learning new tricks and techniques every day,  and always striving to make the next design better!
