It’s been a wondrous rise for The Yetee since your launch earlier this year. What makes The Yetee different to all the other places online to buy a t-shirt?

The Yetee is a small company and that offers us the flexibility to take some chances. Glen loves the movie “Ladyhawke” and is trying to find a great design to print. You will see some smaller niche market designs at our site that you may not get at the bigger sites, and we have a 600 pound Yetee that prints the shirts.

What key elements would you put your success down to?

There are two things that make The Yetee successful. Our wonderful artists, and our epic beards. Without the artists we would be selling blank shirts. Without our beards we would loose the ability to eat pancakes and chop down trees.

Have you had any favourite designs/artists go to print which excited you the most?

Glen’s first shirt was amazing. We didn’t know what to expect. The orders started popping in and we were so excited with every one. I still feel that way. We had a lot of our artist friends get the word out and we will always be grateful for that.

I think what is so impressive from a site like yourself is how you have utilized Tumblr and Facebook to help spread the word of your designs. Any tips for using these social media sites?

Social media is great. Facebook is an amazing way to interact with your fans. You don’t need to register for a forum, you just click “like”. My tip for social media is not to abuse it. Provide some interaction, some entertainment, don’t just spam people with your message over and over. We give shirts away all of the time, and people seem to love free stuff. Did I mention that we sell nerdy shirts for $11 at TheYetee.com? #spam

If santa was to send The Yetee a present this christmas what would it be?

The Yetee wants all things jerky, the more the better.

What does 2012 have in store for you all? Do you have a goal you want to reach?

By 2012 we should have our new site launched, open up submissions to the public, and have some big giveaways to our fans. Early 2012 we will have someone great doing artist interviews, showing off shirts, and being awesome. I would tell you who but I don’t want to ruin the surprise.
