12 Days Xmas Interview: Why Because
It’s time for the third brand of todays interview series, but this time around this brand are all shiny and brand new. They’ve yet to leave their safety packaging. Why Because are great to have aboard to show the breath of brands showcase in this 12 days giveaway. We got to speak on; Why are electrons so negative, plans of world domination & who to follow on twitter.

What makes Why because, so appropriate to be apart of ‘geek’ day in the 12 days of Xmas giveaway?
Why Because is about wordplay and puns, which is pretty geeky stuff is you ask me. We embrace that geeky nature to try and twist common sayings around into something funny. And to take that a step further, we even embrace geeky subject matter like science for example. We have one shirt that states the simple truth “Electrons Are So Negative”.
How would you best describe your brand to someone who hasn’t heard of you before?
In a word……words. Why Because is a brand based around wordplay, slogans, puns, witticisms, whatever you want to call it. We strive to be funny and clever with sayings. Basically we make shirts that make a statement…..literally.
What exciting developments can you see in the future of the brand?
At this stage, everything is an exciting development. We are brand spanking new. Our first batch of shirts is on it’s way to our secret underground lair right now. The short term plan is to get the word out and share what we love doing. The long term plan is total world domination, or at least total word domination. Also, we hope to end hunger, lower crime rates, and find a good milkshake in Atlanta.
Who are your favourite people to follow on twitter this past year?
There is so much information on Twitter, but I’m a big fan of some of the great funny people who can really say a lot in 140 characters like Jim Gaffigan (@JimGaffigan), Sarah Silverman (@SarahKSilverman), Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt), and Paul F Tompkins (@PFTompkins).
What was the worst gift you’ve received at christmas?
Isn’t it always socks? Every year when I was a kid, I would hang a big sock on the mantle, and every year I’d be disappointed to find a bunch of socks inside. Maybe I should’ve hung up some video games or money instead.
Thanks goes out to Why Because; follow on Facebook and @shopwhybecause on Twitter.
