[Review] Night Surfing by Invisible Sun
I’ve wanted to pick up an Invisible Sun design since I first laid eyes on their logo. Yep, their logo. That’s what drew me in. Simple…. evokes memories…. and memorable. It’s simple… a curling wave. I’m a big lover of the ocean, so it immediately caught my eye.
So…. last week, I did just that! I picked up the above design “Night Surfing” because I thought it’d be a fun shirt to wear to the beach this summer. That’s right, I’m already thinking of the summer.
Anyway, the design landed on my doorstep today and here we go:
No frills envelope, as you can see. I know this bothers MANY people, but as a brand owner myself, I know that it can sometimes get hard to “keep up with the Joneses,” and sometimes you just run out of mailers. Either way, shit happens and I do not judge what is inside the package by what the outside looks like
Once I ripped open the packaging, here’s what was waiting for me inside!
It was a like a present! Well well… happy birthday to me, I guess!! Nice touch, Ellie!
Once I (gingerly) ripped off the tissue paper, what you see above is what was waiting for me! My t-shirt was protected by a bag and inside were some pins and some great business cards!
Now it was time for me to check out this t-shirt that I had waited and waited (really? Impatient anyone? It got to me in two days… c’mon now, Kelly) for… so, I pulled out that lovely new piece of clothing and took a peek at it:
The above photo is a graphic that is on the back right shoulder, very cool, I love it!
Below are two images of the finishing touches… a custom tag and also another tag at the bottom of the shirt. Well done!
I haven’t worn the shirt yet, and I’m not sure what brand they use because they use their own custom tags, but the shirt feels soft, but not quite as soft as the American Apparel t-shirts most commonly found out there.
I’m sure this t-shirt is going to get softer and more comfortable with every wear!
Big thanks go out to Ellie at Invisible Sun for being a great brand owner and very friendly!
Be sure to follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook!
